Autumn and Winter is all about berry shades for lips and one of my 'go to' products has got to be the Crush Kissable Lip Stain by Revlon.  This isn't the first time Crush has featured on my blog as it has been in my monthly favourites and Berry toned lip products posts but I thought it was about time it had it's own post.

The packaging of the Revlon Kissable Lip Stains are sleek and look great in your make-up bag.  They mimic the Clinique Chubby Sticks and now a number of other similar products with this type of packaging have also made their way onto the market such as the MUA lip colours proving how popular this lip product and packaging is to consumers.  The Revlon range in particular includes a large colour range so there should be something for everyone.

Crush is a gorgeous deep berry tone which looks beautiful when teamed with a simple neutral eye.  I find Crush is  a cross between a lipstick and balm rather than a stain.  The texture is glossy and smooth meaning it is semi-transparent when it is first applied but it is buildable so you can have a simple wash of colour over your lips or a deeper berry shade.  This means it is perfect for people who may be a little scared of using darker or brighter shades because you have more control over the amount of colour you use than you would from a lipstick or stain.

The formulation of Crush hydrating on the lips and comfortable to wear as it isn't drying so it is perfect to wear in the Winter months when your lips don't always feel quite as smooth and moisturised as normal.  The finish is glossy on the lips initially but as you wear it this disappears and you are left with a more matte looking stain on your lips.  The stain stays on my lips for a few hours but it isn't the type of colour I can leave to it's own devices.  I find it can go a little patchy, especially if I have built up the colour so I have to run my finger across it every now and then in order to smooth it out again.

You can by the Revlon Kissable Balm Stains at Superdrug for £7.99
